Soft sound of A/C,
clock ticking in the corner.
A new book opened.
Where I discuss things I feel are important, at the time…
Soft sound of A/C,
clock ticking in the corner.
A new book opened.
Just got back from the library today, and I found some good stuff. I picked up:
-Books 2-5 of Naruto
-2 astronomy books
-biography on Sigmund Freud
-biography on Steve Wozniak
-”Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?”; from which Blade Runner was derived
-Orson Scott Card’s “Empire”
-”Quicker than the Eye” collection of short stories from Ray Bradbury
I want to learn all the constellations and be able to pick them out at night. I also want to learn a disturbing amount of data on stars, such as names, distance, star type, etc. That’s my learning goal for the next couple weeks.
I’m also back working on my Cloudworld story, which I began last November with maiki. I should get a lot done this week I think.
There is also about 10 hours at least of contract web work to do this week, so I will be busy!
Sunshine on the rocks,
heat shimmers from them intensely.
Wind feels like a gift.
Old homes creak and groan.
Overextend a body,
the same thing occurs.
Motivation comes,
rising from an unseen source.
Creating begins anew.
I haven’t been doing my writing much lately, which is silly since that’s partly why I’m in my situation now; to be able to work on my own projects. I’ve been drifting really since june, but I’m feeling much better today, after a sort of epiphany I had last night.
A fun thing I want to start is a simple writing challenge. I will be writing one haiku every day on my blog. Just a little something I will be thinking of throughout the day, to sum up a feeling I had, or an event that occured. I think it will be interesting, and is also really simple to do.
Other work is sure to come along soon. I feel like I’m waking from dozing off.

So far bank of america isn’t really impressing me. All I need my account there for is to deposit checks I receive, so I can then shuffle the money to my ING account. You’d think deposits are something banks should have down pat. Yet, it always takes a really long time.
I don’t think I’m being too harsh. I banked with Washington Mutual when I was in california, and they were fast. You would have your money in and you’re out the door in 2 minutes maybe.
I’m not going to do anything about it, because I already have my account. But if anyone is thinking about banking with them, I’d suggest going another way.
